Jill Henscheid is a Registered Dietitian and provides nutrition therapy and sports nutrition evaluations and recommendations to the Winona State University student athletes. Student athletes may meet with her for individual consultations to plan nutrition strategies for athletic performance, weight management, pre and post-workout nutrition and making healthier food choices a part of their overall training objectives.

Jill has been a Registered Dietitian for eight years and is a member of the American Dietetic Association and two professional dietetic practice groups:
• Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition (SCAN) DPG
• Public Health and Community Nutrition DPG

Prior to working in the Student Health Service at WSU she was a clinical dietitian at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN where she was able to perfect her skills in nutrition education and disease management. One of her professional passions is making healthy nutrition choices practical and easy no matter what your lifestyle or needs may require. When working with the student athletes she relies on her belief about nutrition and her clinical expertise to empower the athletes to use nutrition for improved health and sports performance.

Future goals for the WSU student athletes and sports nutrition are planned training table, ongoing education related to health and sports performance, and enhanced nutrition analysis and meal planning.
