Chris Samp holds every meaningful receiving record at Winona State, finishing his career with 222 catches for 4,471 yards and 53 touchdowns. He was an All-American in both 2003 and 2004 while setting program records for catches (78), yards (1,558) and touchdown catches (22) during his senior campaign. Samp was the NSIC Offensive Player of the Year in 2004 while also finishing as a finalist for the Harlon Hill Award. Samp helped lead the Warriors to the postseason in all four of his seasons with the team, advancing to the NCAA Division II Playoffs in 2001, 2003 and 2004 while playing in the Mineral Water Bowl in 2002. He also led the team to NSIC titles in 2001, 2003 and 2004.
