A four-year letter winning WSU softball player, graduated with a bachelor’s in elementary education, and a master’s in math and English. She was the starting shortstop and lead-off hitter all four years, and one of the top players and student athletes in WSU softball history.  She was First Team All-Conference in 2000, 2001, and 2002; Scholar All-American in 2000 and 2001; NSIC and WSU GPA Winner all four years; and a member of 1999 NSIC Tournament Conference Champs. Andersen was named NSIC Player of the Year as a senior in 2002 and graduated as WSU’s career leader in runs scored, second in hits, and fourth in stolen bases. She is currently head softball coach at New Ulm High School, boasting a 219-69 record, two Minnesota State High School League state championships, and 10 conference championships.  Andersen resides in New Ulm, Minn., with her husband, Tim, and two-year old twins.
