Kyle Schlaak was a basketball standout that helped build the Warriors' foundation for national success. Schlaak ended his career fourth on the WSU scoring charts with 1,617 points and is the program's all-time leader in free throw percentage. He led the Warriors to back-to-back NSIC Championships as well as the NSIC Tournament title in 2001. Schlaak turned in his highlight performance in the NSIC Tournament against Southwest State, scoring a career-high 37 points while leading the Warriors to the tournament title.
