Robert S. Brewer began his collegiate athletic career by being in the trenches. Not digging trenches, but playing in the football trenches as a lineman. In his early football career at Winona State, he played on both the offensive and defensive lines. But as his career developed, he focused on the offensive left tackle position and went on to attain honors for his work earning all-conference, all-district and honorable mention All-American honors in his senior year.

After his collegiate career, Brewer went on to a career in secondary education, teaching and coaching football, baseball and basketball in Springboro, OH High School.

From there a call to the business world beckoned him and led him to successes in places like Scottsdale, AZ and Phoenix, AZ and on to Milwaukee, WI, Youngsville, NC and to his current residence in Wake Forest, NC.

Brewer's business successes earned him the Entrepreneur of the Year nomination in the state of Wisconsin in 1987, the Winona State University Distinguished Young Alumni Award in 1994 and the "Presidential Medallion" Award from Winona State in 2002.

Aside from his business ventures, Brewer has been involved in youth programs like the Boys and Girls Club and YMCA.

Brewer's experience at Winona State carried him from the depths of the football line to the heights of business success and community involvement.
