We are used to waking up early in Winona, but today was a little different. We left Winona at 2:15 am, took the bus to the airport, and got on our first flight to Seattle. Four hours in a plane seat at 6'10" started to feel like 10 hours, but we got there eventually.
We only had about 45 minutes till our next flight to Hawaii, which was 6 hours, so you can only imagine how excited I was to get on this plane. But it turns out the Hawaii gods were looking after me, because there were open seats in the back, so I got a row to myself, which was a lifesaver.
Before you know it, we are landing, and when you get here, you kind of forget the 16 hours of traveling you just did because of how pretty Honolulu is. We grabbed our bags, drove to our hotel, got organized, walked downtown to Yard House to eat dinner, and walked the beach on our way home and called it a day.
