After leading the Winona State volleyball team to three straight 3-0 sweeps last week, freshman outside hitter Danielle Rampart has been named the NSIC's Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced today.

The true freshman from Trevor, Wis. had a fantastic week, leading the NSIC in kills and points per set. She averaged five kills and 5.5 points per set while recording double-doubles in all three matches. In the three sweeps, Rampart hit .291 with 45 kills, 38 digs and four service aces.

Friday night in a crucial win over Northern State, Rampart piled up 17 kills and 10 digs while hitting .382 with a pair of aces. She followed up with another great performance Saturday with a 14-kill, 15-dig effort while hitting .355 and another pair of aces to solidify the perfect weekend.

Rampart is the first Warrior since Kate Horihan on Sep. 24, 2012 to win the league's weekly offensive award.

The outside hitter is in the midst of a fantastic freshman campaign, hitting .241 for the season with 344 kills and 291 digs. She ranks second in the extremely difficult NSIC in kills with 4.10 kills per set.
