Redshirt freshman Corey Jeffs had a night to remember Friday night to lead the Warriors to an important 79-64 home victory over Sioux Falls.
Jeffs scored a career-high and tied a WSU season-high with 29 points Friday in just 24 minutes.
Jeffs hit seven 3-pointers in just eight attempts from beyond the arc – the most for the Warriors since 2007, with only one Warrior in history hitting seven threes on as few as eight attempts.
The Aussie scored 17 straight points for WSU and 20 of 22 in a key 5-minute, 24-second second-half stretch to power the Warrior effort and put the game away. Overall, Jeffs was 11-of-15 from the field while also recording two steals and an assist.
