Field: Alissa Rausch (Sr, Merrill, WI) had an outstanding meet at the Pittsburg State Gorilla Classic this weekend.  Alissa won the discus with an automatic qualifying throw of 171’ 4” (52.22m) beating the number one ranked discus thrower in D2 head to head.  Also in the field were 11 of the top 40 and 3 of the top 7 discus throwers in D2.  Alissa also placed second in the hammer throw, behind the D2 national leader, with a lifetime best throw of 188’ 8” (57.71m).  This moves her up to #6 in D2 this spring.
