Tony Mueller broke a 43-year old school record against Northern State, striking out eight consecutive batters in a complete game 9-0 win Tuesday. Mueller retired all three batters in the fifth and sixth innings on strikes before getting the first two batters of the seventh on strikes as well. He struck out 15 overall in the seven inning game, allowing just one hit. He also fanned six consecutive batters early, getting the final two outs in the second, all three in the third and the first hitter of the fourth out on strikes.
