Winona State thrower Mary Theisen was named NSIC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week today, the conference announced.

Theisen won the shot put competition at the University of Minnesota Open with a mark of 14.31 meters against stiff competition. The top six finishers in the meet threw for NCAA Division II provisional marks.

Theisen also reached an NCAA Division II provisional mark in the weight throw with a toss of 16.43 meters. She finished third in the weight throw competition.
