This Week's Men's Basketball Storylines:

HOME IS WHERE THE WINS ARE:
The Winona State men's basketball team returns to McCown Gymnasium where the Warriors have recorded all nine of their victories this season. The Warriors welcome Bemidji State to Winona at 8 p.m. Friday before hosting Minnesota Crookston for a 6 p.m. tip-off on Saturday.

BEMIDJI STATE SERIES HISTORY: WSU and the Beavers will be meeting for the 155th time in series history. The Warriors hold an 84-70 advantage in the series dating back to 1933, and the two squads have taken turns winning the past eight meetings, with the most recent being an 87-86 overtime win last season.

MINNESOTA CROOKSTON SERIES HISTORY: WSU and the Golden Eagles will be meeting for the 29th time in series history. The Warriors hold a 28-2 series lead, with the lone blemishes coming from a 77-73 loss in 2002 and a 70-66 loss in 2011. UMC has never beaten the Warriors in Winona, and the Warriors have won the past four matchups in the series, including an 88-52 victory last season.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS: BSU, losers of its past seven games, comes into McCown Gymnasium with a record of 7-11 and 3-11 in NSIC play. Last week the Beavers suffered a pair of road losses at Northern State 81-62 and then-No.8 MSU Moorhead 89-69. Bemidji State is led by senior Brock Lutes, whose 16.5 ppg puts him 7th in the league in scoring. Also averaging double figures per game is Ben Best, who chips in 10.2 ppg. BSU has the 9th-ranked scoring offense in the NSIC at 73.8 ppg and the 12th-ranked scoring defense, giving up 75.6 ppg. BSU's best statistical category is steals, where they rank 4th in the NSIC with an average of 6.9 per outing.

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN EAGLES: UMC, also losers of seven straight games, enters the weekend with a record of 6-12 and 4-10 in NSIC play. Last week the Golden Eagles fell to then-No. 8 MSU Moorhead 69-42 before losing to Northern State 58-48. The Golden Eagles have the worst-ranked scoring offense in the league, averaging 59.4 ppg and last in scoring margin at -11.5, but are 8th in the league in scoring defense, giving up 70.9 ppg. The team's best statistical category is 3-point field goal percentage defense, as UMC allows opponents to shoot just 33.9 percent from behind the arc, good for 2nd in the NSIC. Derrick Redd leads the squad in scoring, averaging 11.6 ppg while Tyler West adds 10.5 ppg.

MASBERG EMERGES: WSU guard Conrad Masberg appears to have hit his stride midway through his junior campaign. In the past five games, Masberg is averaging 14.4 points per game while scouring at least 14 points in all but one game. Saturday against Wayne State, he scored a career-high 21 points while recording games of 17 points and 16 points two weekends ago. In the past four games, Masberg is shooting 65.5 percent (19-for-29) while going 8-of-11 from 3-point range.

BLACKLOCK'S DOUBLE-DOUBLE: The Warriors finally broke their double-double drought Saturday thanks to junior forward Mark Blacklock's 11-point, 10-rebound performance against Wayne State. It was the first double-double of the season for Winona State and the first of Blacklock's collegiate career.
