WINONA, Minn. – After two exhibition wins, the Winona State men's basketball team will host Wisconsin-Stout Saturday night in the first regular season game of the 2016-17 season. The Warriors have been led by four double digit scorers during the exhibition games.
 
Riley Bambenek has led all Warriors with 16.5 points per game while shooting 45.8% from the field. Kyle Baumann (13.0 ppg), Corey Jeffs (12.5 ppg) and Charlie Koontz (11.0 ppg) are the three other Warriors who are scoring over ten points per game.
 
The Warriors have proven to have the ability to get to the foul line in their exhibition wins, outscoring the opponents 38-19 at the charity stripe. Winona State has also controlled the boards, outrebounding opponents 40.5-23.5.
 
The regular season begins with a pair of home games, after Saturday's game with the Blue Devils, the Warriors will host in-city school Saint Mary's on Monday, Nov. 21^st.
 
Over Thanksgiving weekend Winona State will travel to Owensboro, Kentucky for a pair of games before conference season gets underway. The Warriors will host Sioux Falls in the NSIC opener on Friday, December 2.
