The Warriors denied Waldorf its first field goal of the second half until the 9:37 mark as the floodgates had already opened for the home team with a 64-41 lead. Koontz and Domask each connected from beyond the arc to begin the half as WSU opened the frame with a 24-2 explosion over the first 10 minutes of the period.

Waldorf hung with Winona State in the first half, taking a 31-28 lead with 4:56 remaining in the frame. The Warriors closed the opening period on an 11-4 run and returned from the locker room in the second half to dominate Waldorf.
