Juresh and Tucker earn USTFCCCA All-Region honors

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Winona State University's Taylor Juresh and Tamika Tucker have each been named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division II All-Region Team.

Juresh, a sophomore, earns Outdoor All-Region accolades for the second straight season. She earned the award as part of Winona State's 4x100 relay team in 2018. This season she is honored for her All-Conference performance in the javelin in which she placed first at the NSIC Outdoor Championships.

Tucker, a senior, was also part of the 4x100 relay team that earned All-Region recognition in 2017. She too, has been honored as an individual All-Region performer in 2018 in the long jump. Tucker rattled off a string of seven straight first-place finishes in the event beginning with her NSIC Indoor Championship leap all the way through her top finish at the NSIC Outdoor Championships. She's jumped over 19 feet in three straight meets, including setting a new Winona State outdoor record of 19' 9".

Juresh, Tucker and the rest of the Warrior athletes will await the announcement of qualifying individuals for the 2018 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships scheduled for May 24-26 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
