Winona, Minn- Winona State Athletics and WNB Financial have announced a multiyear sponsorship with exclusive naming rights for the floor of McCown gymnasium.
The McCown hardwood will feature the WNB Financial name and logo in two locations and will be promoted prominently at Warrior volleyball matches, men's and women's basketball games and gymnastics meets, as well as other events held in the facility.
The Warrior-WNB Financial sponsorship is an expansion of a long-standing relationship between the two organizations; Winona State Athletics and WNB have collaborated on several initiatives over the years.
Officially, the iconic gym in the heart of campus will be known as 'McCown Gymnasium, home of WNB Financial Court.'
Winona State Athletic Director Eric Schoh stated, "We are excited about this new, unique sponsorship with WNB Financial. In addition to giving WNB Financial great exposure at Warrior Athletic events, it also will provide funding for scholarships for our deserving student athletes. We can't thank Jack Richter and Jenny Baertsch, and their entire team, enough for their investment in our student athletes."
WNB Financial has seven offices in the cities of Winona, Wabasha, Kellogg, Altoona, and Holmen. With electronic options, a community focus, and excellent client service, WNB customizes their financial products and services to fit the needs of their clients.
"WNB Financial has been a longtime supporter of Winona State Athletics, and this new collaboration is a unique opportunity to enhance and expand that partnership," said Jack Richter, Chief Executive Officer of WNB Financial. "Part of the Mission of WNB Financial is to invest in the communities we serve, and this sponsorship allows us to give back in a way that expands our partnership with the University while supporting student-athletes."
Winona State University will conclude spring semester on Thursday, May 7.
