Winona State men's golf competes at The Mule

WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The Winona State University men's golf team wrapped up a three-round tournament over the past two days at the Mules National Golf Club, hosted by the University of Central Missouri.

The Warriors turned in a three-round score of 887 (299, 294, 294) to finish in 15th place out of 21 teams. Rogers State University won the event with an eight-under par, 832. Sam Tandy from Harding University earned medalist honors with a six-under, 204.

Brady Holland was the top finisher for WSU, carding a 211 (71, 70 70) to finish one-over par and tie for 10th among 108 total golfers. Matthew Chandler was just four strokes behind, finishing with a 215 (74, 73, 68) to finish inside the top-25.

Matt Turner golfed to a three-round score of 231, recovering from a first-round score of 82 to shoot 74 and 75 in the final two rounds. Bennett Thomas and Dylan Brown rounded out the Warrior lineup with scores of 236 (78,77,81) and 239 (76, 80, 83), respectively.

The Warriors now have their eyes set on the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships on April 14-16 in Blue Springs, Mo.
