BURNSVILLE, Minn. –
Connor Dillon has earned NSIC Men's Basketball South Division Player of the Week after an impressive performance for the WSU men's basketball team over the past weekend.
Dillon, a junior from Peoria, Ill., led Winona State to victories over Augustana University (74-69) and Wayne State College (67-63).
The Warrior sophomore hit 20-of-31 (64.5%) from the floor and was 7-of-11 (63.6%) from three-point territory across the two games. Dillon also averaged four assists per contest on the weekend. Dillon is currently eighth in the NSIC in scoring average (18.3 ppg) and is seventh in the league in three-pointers made (52) on the year. Dillon has scored 20 or more points in 13 of the 23 Warrior contests.
Winona State will hit the road this weekend, playing at the University of Sioux Falls on Friday, Feb. 10, and at Southwest Minnesota State on Saturday, Feb. 11.
