Mankato, Minn. - The Winona State University track and field team competed in the Maverick Premier Meet #2 in the Myers Fieldhouse in Mankato, Minnesota on Saturday, February 10.
Leading the way for Winona State was
Hanna Reichenberger, with a pair of impressive performances on the day. Reichenberg ran in the women's 60 meter hurdles, recording a time of 8.86 in the finals. Reichenberg currently owns top-40 time of 8.78 in the event, ran at the Lewis Invitational on February 2. In the Premier Meet in Mankato on Saturday, the Combined Locks, Wis. product finished fifth overall.
In the triple jump, Reichenberger recorded a best-effort of 11.93m (39-01.75), a distance that places her in the top-30 in the NCAA Division II rankings. On Saturday, Reichenberger's mark was good for runner-up honors, with Minnesota State's Stella Neophytou taking top honors with a 12.22m (40-01.25) effort. Nyah Paulding of Cal Poly Pomona was third at 11.56m (37-11.25)
The Winona State 4X400 relay team of
Lainey Lipschultz,
Brittany Beadles, Sam Harke and
Kylie Anderson recorded a time of 4:17.99 on the afternoon, good for sixth place overall. Azusa Pacific won the event with a time of 3:40.92.
Other Winona State competitors in the event included
Courtney Lukas, who ran a 26.47 in the 200 meter dash, good for 13th among 41 competitors and Warrior teammate
Lainey Lipschultz in the had a mark of 1:01.12, which was eighth in the 400 meters.
Winona State will next compete in the Indoor Eagle Open, hosted by the University of Wisconsin La Crosse on Friday, February 16. The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Indoor Championships are schedule for February 23-24 in Mankato, Minnesota.
