WSU competes at Mankato Open

Mankato, Minn. - The Winona State University track and field team competed at the Mankato Open on Wednesday, May 1 and Saturday May 4, hosted by Minnesota State University Mankato.

On Wednesday, WSU earned 45 points as a team, with multiple athletes competing. Leading Winona State was Rachel Hoffman competing in the 5000 meter run, running a time of 18:49.64 earning a first place finish.

Alyssa Larson earned a fifth place finish in the Women's 400 meter run with a time of 57.75. The Warriors earned another fifth place finish from Samantha Harke in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:19.60. In the 400 meter hurdles WSU saw Lainey Lipschultz earn a third place finish in the event.

On the field, Hanna Reichenberger competed in the triple jump, earning a fourth place finish with a jump of 39'8.5"

The Warriors next compete in the NSIC Outdoor Championship in Mankato, Minn. on May 9 through May 11.
