WINONA, Minn. - The Winona State men's basketball team continues their 2025-26 regular season with two NSIC matchups, including their first home game of the 2025-26 season.
The Warriors will host Minnesota State on Thursday, December 4 at 5:30pm. WSU is 63-96 all time against the Mavericks with the Warriors losing last season's matchup 76-52 in Mankato, Minn. Winona State will then travel to play St. Cloud State on Saturday, December 6 at 2:00pm. WSU is 53-104 all-time against SCSU with the Warriors falling in a close 70-65 contest to the Huskies last year.
Winona State Notes:
- Winona State enters the week 1-5 after a pair of losses to #18 Florida Southern and Saint Leo University down in Florida.
- The Warriors enter the 2025-26 season ranked ninth in the NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
- Head Coach Todd Eisner is in his 11th season at the helm of the program. He is 159-123 during his tenure with the Warriors.

- Following this week, the Warriors will play at home hosting the University of Sioux Falls in an NSIC showdown on Saturday, December 13 at 5:00pm. The following day, WSU will host SMSU at 2:00pm in another NSIC test.

- MSU is off to a fast start going 6-3 during their first stretch of the 2025-26 season. The Mavericks picked up a 119-80 win over Waldorf in their last contest on November 29.

- Head Coach Matt Margenthaler is in his 25th year with the team, compiling a record of 514-226 in his tenure. He has led the Mavericks to the NCAA Division II National Championship in 2023-24.
