WINONA, Minn. - Two members of the Winona State University men's basketball team earned spots on the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team announced Tuesday. 

Representing Warrior men's basketball on the CSC Academic All-District Team were seniors Connor Drew from Huxley, Iowa and Jhei-R Jones from Sauk Village, Illinois. 

Jones averaged 10.9 points per game, 4.5, rebounds, and 3.1 assists to help the Warriors get to the Central Region Semifinals for the first time since 2013.Jones averaged 34.8 minutes per game while shooting 41.2% from the floor and 80.4% from the charity stripe. 

Drew averaged 14.0 points per game, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in the Warriors historic season. Shooting 35.8% from beyond the arc and 45.5% from the field the senior earned the accolade of Second Team All-NSIC. 

The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. 

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 15, 2025 (men).
