WARRIOR GOLF WILL TRAVEL FOR MEN’S TOMMY RIGGS INVITATIONAL AND WOMEN’S NSIC PREVIEW

WINONA, Minn. – Winona State men's and women's golf are set to travel to Pittsburg, Kan. and Blue Springs, Mo. for the Tommy Riggs Invitational and NSIC Preview on March 30-31.

The women's golf NSIC Preview will be held in Blue Springs, Mo. and hosted by Minnesota State University, Mankato. Last season the Warriors took ninth place out of the 13 teams in attendance at the two-day two round tournament. The men's golf Tommy Riggs Collegiate Invitational will be held in Pittsburg, Kansas and hosted by Pittsburg State. WSU looks to attack the competition after a first-place finish at the 2026 men's golf NSIC Preview.

Men's Golf Notes:
  • Winona State is coming off a first-place team finish at the 2026 NSIC Preview in Smithville, Mo.
  • Peyton Coahran has dominated the playing field this season so far, taking first place for the fourth time this season after finishing tied for first at the NSIC Men's Golf Preview.
  • Javier Ramos Casariego is averaging a 72.2 score this season and has five top 10 finishes pair with three top five finishes individually this season.
  • Luke Maas has played a pivotal role in the Warriors success this season, shooting an average 71.9 scorecard and placing top five two times thus far.
  • Max Jericho and Logan Chouinard round out the Winona State lineup with both reaching the top 15 individually at last week's NSIC Preview.
Women's Golf Notes:
  • Winona State is coming off a top three finish at the Las Vegas Warrior Invitational.
  • Megan Young has gathered two top 10 finishes including a 12th place finish at the Las Vegas Warrior Invitational earlier this spring.
  • Lindsey Lund is averaging a 79.4 individual score and has reached the top 10 once this season at the Jewel Invitational.
  • Kessa Mara has earned herself a 78.9 average score this season, leading the team after finishing tied for fifth place at the Las Vegas Warrior Invitational.
  • Georgia Volley has three top 20 finishes this season including an average score of 79.6.
