WINONA, Minn. – Winona State softball secured a pair of shutout victories over MSU Moorhead on Senior Day, including a no-hitter from
Izzy Howe in game one.

Game One: WSU (10) – MSUM (0)
Winona State strung back-to-back doubles by Alyssa Woelful and
Tiegan Mancuso to begin the game as both runners scored in the inning to give WSU a 2-0 lead after one. Senior
Jaden Johnson blasted a two-run shot over the fence in the second as the Warriors tallied five more runs in the inning.
WSU scored one in the third and two in the fourth, aided by a two-run homer from senior
Bryn Elsenpeter to give WSU a 10-0 advantage and earn the run-rule victory.
Indigo Fish went 3-3 with three RBI to lead WSU, while Woelfel, Mancuso, and Johnson each had multi-hit games.
Though the offense shined in game one, Howe was the brightest spot delivering a 10-strikeout no-hitter in five innings of work. Howe's no-hitter was the 37th in program history and the second of her career.
Game Two: WSU (4) – MSUM (0)
The Warriors tallied three runs in the bottom of the first on a pair of hits and two Dragon miscues, which was all that was needed as
Jayda Berg threw a complete-game shutout in the win.
Winona State added their final run of the game in the fifth inning on a
Hannah Soderbeck pinch hit to drive in
Bryn Elsenpeter. The Warriors hung on for the 4-0 win to complete the shutout sweep over MSU Moorhead.
Woelfel tallied another multi-hit game as WSU scattered six hits throughout the contest.
Jayda Berg allowed just three hits in an outstanding outing for the Warriors in the circle.
