LAKE CITY, Minn. --- For the second consecutive year, the Winona State men's golf team claimed first place as a team at the Jewel Invitational on Tuesday afternoon.
The Warriors finished one over par in the tournament with a team score of 577. Sioux Falls followed in second place with 583, while Bemidji State took third with 585.
Luke Maas (72, 69) and
Logan Chouinard (69, 72) each tied for second with a three-under-par score across the two-day tournament.
Max Jericho followed in a tie for 12th with rounds of 73 and 74 (+3).
Javier Ramos Casariego rounded out the Warriors' scoring lineup with rounds of 73 and 75 (+4) to tie for 16th.
Andres Hernandez also competed on the five-person squad, finishing with a seven-over-par score across the two rounds (73, 78) to tie for 29th.
Diego Olano competed as an individual for the Warriors, finishing in a tie for 36th at eight over par (79, 73).
As a team, the Warriors led the tournament in par 3s (+5) and par 4s (+16). WSU also recorded the most eagles in the tournament with three and the most pars with 112.
