SIOUX Falls, S.D. – Winona State men's cross country opened their season at the Augustana Twilight, finishing 15th in a strong field of 33 teams.
The Warriors finished sixth among all NSIC and NCAA DII teams. NCAA DI South Dakota State took team championship honors while South Dakota's Isaac Ochoa won the individual title.
Wyatt Harmoning led WSU, cracking the top 100 out of 479 individual racers, running in a time of 16:10.6.
Ryan Karls was next, finishing in 16:26.0 in his first collegiate race.
Jacob Lanzara ran the 5k in 16:49.4, while
Calvin Redeker and
Carter Zimmerman both finished inside the top 200 to round out Winona State's top finishers.
WSU will be in action next at the prestigious Roy Griak Invitational on Friday, September 18th.
