ABERDEEN, S.D. – The No. 22 Winona State soccer team brought its winning streak to six with a 2-1 road victory over Northern State Sunday in Aberdeen.

The WSU defense was stout as usual, allowing just one shot on goal that resulted in Northern State's lone goal.

The Warriors took a 2-0 lead in the 59th minute when Taylor Zehren scored after her shot deflected off the goalkeeper and rolled into the net.  Burt was again credited with the assist for her second of the day.

The Wolves' only shot on goal of the game resulted in a goal in the 68th minute when Alyssa Wide took a shot from the top of the box that got by WSU goalkeeper Rachel Oleson.

Burt, Alaina Kne, Darian Molter and Meg Riebau each took a pair of shots in the game.

As a team, the Warriors outshot NSU 13-9 while WSU held a 5-1 advantage in shots on goal.
