JOPLIN, Mo. – The Winona State women's cross country team finished eighth at the NCAA Central Region Championship Saturday morning at the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course in Joplin, Missouri.
WSU turned in a solid eighth-place result out of 31 women's teams at the meet. Senior Jordan Paschke led WSU in 21st place with a finishing time of 21:54.62.
Raissa Hansen was the second Warrior to cross the line, finishing in 34th with a time of 22:18.82.
Madeline Martell was 52nd with a time of 22:41.44 while Emily Tyrrell added a 55th place finish with a time of 22:48.03.
Amanda Kaiser and Tiffany Sunderland added top-100 finishes, while Katie Vergeront was 107th.
Southwest Baptist, Minnesota Duluth, Augustana, U-Mary and Harding were the top five team finishers in the event, advancing to the NCAA National Championships in two weeks.
