DULUTH, Minn. – The Winona State (4-5-1, 1-5-1 NSIC) women's soccer team suffered a 2-0 loss at Minnesota Duluth (5-3-2, 3-2-2 NSIC) on Sunday afternoon. In the 26
th minute, Bulldog Skye Finley headed home a ball to put the Duluth on the board, with an assist from Laura Edgren. In the 55
th minute Natalie St. Martin scored the second Bulldog goal, assisted by Destiny Schmitz.
The Warriors had 13 total shots with nine being stoped by the Bulldog goal keeper.
Abby Bohanski led the offensive attack with seven shots, five on goal.
Meg Riebau added three shots with one on goal.
Taylor Richards chipped in with a shot on goal.
The Warriors had two corner kick opportunities in each half of the match. The Bulldogs had four in the first half and none in the second.
A corner kick from Bohanski and a wide header shot by Riebau in the 90
th minute would be the last Warrior attempts to get on the board.
Each team was shown yellow once on Sunday,
