LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) has announced a record-breaking number of teams to earn the 2018-19 Team Academic Award, including Winona State University.

The AVCA awarded 1,127 programs with the honor, including 142 Division II women's teams. Winona State University has garnered the Team Academic Award in each of head coach Joe Getzin's five seasons with the Warriors.

The AVCA Team Academic Award is bestowed to programs that maintain a cumulative 3.30 GPA for the academic school year.
