WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State University women's soccer team hosts Augustana for senior day today, Sunday, Oct. 31 for a 1pm match.
The Warriors (4-10-1, 3-9-1 NSIC) are coming off a 2-1 loss at Wayne State on Friday. WSU outshot the Wildcats 18-4, but they were unable to find the back of the net until the 88th minute on a goal by
Camryn Cadiz.
The Augustana Vikings (11-3-2, 10-1-2 NSIC) are riding an eight-game win streak, most recently defeating Upper Iowa 2-0. The Vikings have allowed just three goals during their past eight games, and currently sit in third place in the NSIC standings. Alexis Legg leads Augustana with seven goals on the season, and Syliva Fehr leads the team with 12 assists. Jillian Barkus has played 15 games in net, boasting a save percentage of 0.855 for the Vikings.
Winona State is led offensively in scoring by
Riley Harmon, who has found the back of the net four times this season. Four Warriors have scored two goals, and five others have scored one goal.
Missy Greco leads the way with 41 shots and 22 shots on goal.
Ellie Wardell leads the team with four assists.
Yanel Ortiz and
Alyson Jumper have shared time in net for Winona State, combining for a save percentage of 0.798.
Today's match against Augustana will be senior day. The Warriors will honor eight different seniors who will be playing in their last home game at Winona State.
