FAYETTE, Iowa – The Winona State University women's soccer team wraps up their season at Upper Iowa today, Nov. 5 at 2pm.
The Warriors (4-11-1, 3-10-1 NSIC) are coming off a high scoring affair with Augustana last weekend, losing 3-4.
Emily Chudik and
Katie Timmons each found the back of the net in the game, and WSU's third goal came off an own goal by the Vikings.
The Upper Iowa Peacocks (7-9, 5-9 NSIC) most recently fell to Wayne State 1-0 in overtime. The Peacocks are led offensively by Katie Samuels and Haley Ramberg, who each have four goals on the season. Natalie Rudrud has been a staple in net for UIU, starting all 16 games and holds a 0.675 save percentage.
Winona State is led offensively in scoring by
Riley Harmon, who has found the back of the net four times this season. Chudik is right behind Harmon with three goals of her own. Three Warriors have scored two goals, and six others have scored one goal.
Missy Greco leads the way with 41 shots and 22 shots on goal.
Ellie Wardell leads the team with four assists.
Yanel Ortiz and
Alyson Jumper have shared time in net for Winona State, combining for a save percentage of 0.777.
Today's match will conclude the 2021 season for the Warriors.
