Thirty-Seven Warriors Named NSIC Winter All-Academic

BURNSVILLE, Minn. – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) has announced that 794 student-athletes have earned NSIC All-Academic honors for the 2020-21 winter semester; 482 student-athletes were named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence, while 312 earned NSIC All-Academic Team honors.

Winona State University is represented by 37 student-athletes on the All-Academic Team, including 23 named to the All-Academic Team of Excellence.

The Warrior men's basketball team had five honorees and women's basketball saw 10 student-athletes receive honors.  In women's track and field, 22 Warriors earned honors this past season. 

To be eligible for the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence, a student-athlete must have a 3.6 cumulative GPA or higher, while NSIC All-Academic Team members must have a 3.2 cumulative GPA or higher.   

Additionally, the student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at her/his institution (true freshmen, redshirt freshmen and ineligible athletic transfers are not eligible) and must have completed at least one full academic year at that institution.
