WINONA, Minn. - The Winona State University women's basketball team returns to NSIC action on Thursday, Dec. 1 as WSU hosts Minnesota State - Mankato at 5:30 p.m. in McCown Gymnasium, home of WNB Financial Court.
Winona State is off to a 7-0 start on the season and are 1-0 in NSIC action, and defeated Viterbo University 75-46 on Monday, while Minnesota State enters the week unbeaten at 5-0 and ranked No. 6 in the WBCA Coaches Poll. The battle of the unbeaten teams marks a key early-season NSIC South match up in the 2022-23 campaign.

WINONA STATE STORYLINES
- WSU is 7-0 on the season and ranked No. 6 in the current D2SIDA Central Region Poll.
- Alex Dornfeld has had double-digit rebounding performances in three of her past four games.
- Dornfeld also has hit double-digits in scoring three times sinces Nov. 10, including 24 points versus Quincy University on Nov. 22.

- The Warriors were selected 11th overall and 5th in the NSIC South by coaches around the league.
- Head coach Ana Wurtz and assistant coach Hannah McGlone are the only all-female coaching staff in the NSIC that also competed at their alma mater as student-athletes.
