PITTSBURG, Kan. - The Winona State University softball team wraps up their weekend at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas, where they will play a pair of NCAA Division II foes. The Warriors will face off with the PSU Gorillas at 11am and then see Drury University at 1pm. 

Winona State (3-1, 0-0 NSIC) started the season with a doubleheader sweep over NAIA power Grand View University the RCTC Dome. Yesterday, WSU took care of business with a 9-0 victory over Pittsburg State, highlighted by Liz Pautz's two-hit shutout. In the second game of the day, which was against Drury, WSU fell to the Panthers 2-12 after giving up nine runs in the fourth inning.

Pittsburg State (6-2, 0-0 MIAA) is off to strong start on the season, and split yesterday's action with a loss against the Warriors but an 8-7 win over Drury.
 
Drury University (4-4, 0-0 GLVC) has faced a pair of nationally ranked programs already this season, including #1 ranked Texas-Tyler. Yesterday, Drury split their doubleheader with a win over the Warriors and a close loss to the Gorillas.

The Warriors will look to head back to Winona with two more wins in their back pocket after today's games.
