WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State University men's basketball team returns home for a four-game home stand, beginning with matchups against Northern State and MSU Moorhead this weekend. WSU and NSU will square off at 5:30pm on Friday, Jan. 27 while WSU and MSUM tip off at 3:30pm on Saturday, Jan. 28.
The Warriors are 11-8 this season and hold a 6-8 record in the NSIC 14 games through the 22-game conference schedule. WSU split contests on the road last weekend, defeating Minot State before falling to UMary.

WINONA STATE STORYLINES
- The Warriors hold an 11-8 record overall and are 6-8 in the NSIC heading into the weekend.
- WSU scores an average of 69.3 points/game and holds a 1.7 scoring margin, allowing defenses to just 67.9 ppg.
- Winona State is second in the NSIC with a 2.63 turnover margin and fourth in assist/turnover ratio at 1.31.
- Connor Dillon leads WSU and is seventh in the league averaging 18.3 points/game.
- Luke Martens adds 11.9 ppg and grabs 6.7 rebounds per game.

- The Wolves are 15-5 overall and 11-3 in the NSIC, which puts them second in the current league standings.
- NSU averages a league-leading 80.2 points/game offensively and allows 71.1 ppg to opponents.
- Four Wolves average double-digit points with Sam Masten leading the way at 18.1 ppg. Masten also leads NSU and the NSIC with 6.7 assists/game.
- Jacksen Moni adds 15.8 ppg while Jordan Belka (13.1 ppg) and Augustin Reede (11.3 ppg) also average double figures.
- Augustin averages 2.9 three-point field goals per game at a conference-best 0.445 clip.
- Saul Phillips is in his fourth year at the helm for Northern State.
MSU Moorhead STORYLINES
- The Dragons are 17-3 overall and are atop the NSIC standings with a 12-2 conference record. MSUM is ranked No. 15 in the latest NBCA Coaches Poll.
- MSUM is the reigning NSIC Tournament champion.
- MSU Moorhead has the third-best scoring offense in the NSIC, averaging 80.0 ppg, and the second-best defense, allowing just 67.3 ppg to opponents to hold the highest scoring margin of 12.8 in the conference.
- Jacob Beeninga scores 18.1 points/game to lead MSUM. Beeninga also collects 1.6 steals/game on defense.
- Gavin Baumgartner adds on 13.3 ppg and dishes out a team-high 4.3 assists/game.
- Tim Bergstraser is in his first year as the head coach for the Dragons.
WARRIOR NOTABLES
- The Warriors were selected 10th overall and seventh in the NSIC South by coaches around the league.
