WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State University women's basketball team returns home for a four game home stand, beginning with matchups against Northern State and MSU Moorhead this weekend. WSU and NSU will square off at 7:30pm on Friday, Jan. 27 while WSU and MSUM tip-off at 5:30pm on Saturday, Jan. 28.
The Warriors are 9-11 this season and hold a 3-11 record in the NSIC, 14 games through the 22-game conference schedule. Last weekend, WSU dropped contests on the road to Minot State and UMary.

- Peyton Boom scores 15.1 points/game to lead MSUM and shoots the ball at a league-high clip of 0.564.
- Mariah McKeever (14.3 ppg) and Natalie Jens (14.2 ppg) each average in double figures as well.
- Boom pulls in 8.4 rebounds/game to lead the team, while Jens dishes out a team-high 3.3 assists/game.
- Karla Nelson is in her 23rd season as the head coach for MSU Moorhead.
WARRIOR NOTABLES
- The Warriors were selected 11th overall and 5th in the NSIC South by coaches around the league.
- Head coach Ana Wurtz and assistant coach Hannah McGlone are the only all-female coaching staff in the NSIC that also competed at their alma mater as student-athletes.
- The Warriors' 7-0 start was the best opening stretch of games since the 2015-16 season, where WSU started 13-0.
