KANSAS CITY, MO. – The Winona State University men's basketball team finished out their trip to Kansa City with a win against Southern Arkansas in a 68-62 victory.
Connor Dillon paced Winona State with 24 points going 10-of-19 from the field and 4-of-10 from beyond the arc. Warrior teammate
Connor Drew led WSU in rebounds with seven on the game, while also adding 12 points. Drew was an impressive 6-of-7 for the game overall.
Declan Dillon led the team in assists with four on the day.
As a team, WSU shot 25-of-51 (49.0%) from the floor and 10-of-24 (41.7%) from beyond the arc. The Warriors knocked down 8-of-10 (80.0%) free throws on the night. Winona State held Southern Arkansas to a 41.4% shooting night and an 8-of-24 (33.3%) effort from beyond the arc. The Warriors out-rebounded the Muleriders 33-28 in the contest.
Winona State (2-0, 0-0 NSIC) will face the University of Missouri-St. Louis at home on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. in McCown Gymnasium, home of WNB Financial Court.
