WINONA, Minn. - The Winona State University men's basketball team will take on Concordia University, St. Paul on Tuesday, Nov. 21, as the Warriors open the home portion of their 2023-24 NSIC schedule. Tip off is set for 5:30 p.m. in McCown Gymnasium, home of WNB Financial Court.
Winona State (3-0, 0-0 NSIC) will face a CSP (3-1, 0-0 NSIC) team that is also off to strong start on the season, as the Golden Bears are riding a three-game win streak after opening the season with a 85-83 loss to Newman (Kan.) on Saturday, Nov. 11. WSU has taken two on the road and enjoyed a home win in their start to the season, outlasting a talented University of Missouri St. Louis team last Thursday in a 74-67 Warrior win.

Connor Dillon was tabbed the WSU Player-to-Watch in the 2023-24 NSIC Coaches' Poll.
- Dillon delivered 25 points in the win over UMSL, and previously produced 24 points in 35 minutes in the win versus Southern Arkansas.
- WSU has won the past eight games against Concordia, St. Paul and have a 22-6 mark overall, dating back to March 4, 2009.
- Winona State was the NCAA Division II National Champion in 2006 and 2008; WSU was runner up in 2007.
- WSU had never faced off with Arkansas Monticello or Southern Arkansas in the NCAA DII era.
- The Warriors added two assistant coaches for the 2023-24 campaign; Devin Whitelow and Cole Rabedeaux are both in their 1st year on the Warrior sideline.

- CSP's Antwan Kimmons is the current NSIC Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
- Kimmons averaged 21.0 points, six rebounds and two assists last week, as the Golden Bears go 2-0.
- CSP scored 108 points, 7th most in program history, last week in a 108-101 win over Northern Michigan.
- The Golden Bears were an impressive 30-of-35 from the foul line against NMU
- CSP played NSIC foe Minnesota Crookston in a non-NSIC game last week, winning 86-76.
- Concordia St. Paul has lost the eight matchups with Winona State.
- Head coach Matt Fletcher has been in charge of the Golden Bears since 2020.
