What was your favorite sports memory during your time at WSU?
Traveling to every tournament, especially the bus rides and hotel time! That's when I made the most memories with the team!
Â
What would you say is your greatest athletics and/or academic accomplishment during your time at WSU?
I have two. Making the Dean's List (having a 3.5+ semester GPA), and also being the first recipient of the Pete K. Memorial Golf Scholarship awarded to a golf student-athlete.
Â
How has your WSU athletics experience been influential throughout your life?
It helped me learn resilience and how to be mentally tough when times are hard. Golf can be a mind game, and it has helped me after college to be able to battle through tough times.
Â
Please share any recent professional or personal accomplishments.
My team at Mayo Clinic is working on getting an article published about preceptor education and its impact on the length of new hire orientation. I am also currently applying to grad schools for Healthcare Administration.
Â
What is your current occupation, and what are your career goals?
I am currently the Clinical Nursing Education Coordinator at Mayo Clinic. My career goal is to be a Clinical Operations Manager.
Â
What advice would you give to current WSU student-athletes?
Don't take time for granted, but also don't put so much pressure on yourself to be perfect! College is hard enough as it is, but being a D2 athlete can make it even harder. Time management will be your biggest asset.
