ROMEOVILLE, Ill – The Winona State Women's cross country team traveled to Romeoville, Ill, to compete in the Lewis Crossover hosted by Lewis University, with the team taking home ninth place.
Leading the charge in the Women's 6000m race for the Warriors with a ninth-place finish was
Sophia Taarud with a time of 21:17.51.
McKenna Taylor was not far behind, with a finish of 21:46.59, followed by a 22:10.16 finish from
Ella Voit.
Lexi Terwedo finished with a time of 23:08.52, and
Sam Harke finished with a time of 23:12.72.
In the Women's 6000m open race, the charge was led by
Kelly McCarthy, who took home sixth place with a time of 23:48.33. Not far behind with a 10th place finish was
Rhya Brandemuehl with a time of 23:54.86.
Billie Wagner finished with a time of 25:12.03,
Mady Dockendorf finished with a time of 25.21.06, and rounding out the Warriors was
Josie Tieskoetter with a time of 28:49.06. The Warriors in the 6000m open race took home sixth as a team.
Next up for the Winona State Women's cross country team is the NSIC Championships on Saturday, Oct 26th. The NSIC Championships will start at 10am in Minot, ND.
