WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State women's basketball team prepares to host an NSIC Conference weekend against Sioux Falls and Southwest Minnesota State. The matchup against Sioux Falls will take place Friday, December 13th, at 5:30pm, and the matchup with (RV) Southwest Minnesota State will take place Saturday, December 14th, at 3:30pm.
 
In their last contest, Winona State fell short to conference opponent Wayne State 66-63 in an overtime thriller. Vivica Bretton led the team in scoring with 18 points on 8-19 (42.1%) shooting from the field, along with four rebounds and one assist.
 
Winona State Notes:

• The 2024 campaign will feature 14 home games and 12 away games, Winona State finished 6-6 at home last season and 6-6 at home in 2022.
• Currently holding a record of 5-4, WSU is ranked 10th in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
• The Warriors are ranked 11th in the NSIC in scoring, with an average of 64.8 points per game. WSU is ranked sixth in points allowed, with an average of 64.6 points per game.

• Currently holding a record of 6-4, Sioux Falls is currently ranked sixth in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
• Kami Wadsworth is leading the team in minutes with an average of 28.1 per game. She is also leading the team in points with an average of 15.2 per game.
• Ayla Brown is leading the team in steals with an average of 1.8 per game. She is also leading the team in assists with an average of 3.2 per game.
