WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State women's basketball team prepares for an NSIC Conference weekend against Augustana and Wayne State. The matchup with Augustana will take place Friday, December 6th at 5:30pm in Sioux Falls, S.D., and the matchup with Wayne State will take place Saturday, December 7th at 3:30pm in Wayne, Neb.
 
In their last contest, Winona State fell short to nonconference opponent Michigan Tech 71-66. Hailey Markworth led the team in scoring with 15 points on 7-17 (41.18%) shooting from the field, along with nine rebounds and one assist.
 
Winona State Notes:

• The 2024 campaign will feature 14 home games and 12 away games, Winona State finished 6-6 at home last season and 6-6 at home in 2022.
• Currently holding a record of 4-3, WSU is ranked 12th in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.

• Olivia Hayenga and Brinlee McRae are leading the team in steals with an average of 1.8 per game.
• Hayenga and Uzor Uchidiuno are leading the team in blocks with an average of 1.0 per game.
• Payton Hardy is leading the team in rebounds with an average of 7.0 a game.
