WINONA, Minn. - The Winona State University track and field team wrapped up a busy weekend of competition over April 11-13, with WSU taking part in a trio of competitions over a three-day span.
Winona State sent Warrior contingents to the 2024 Bryan Clay Invitational and the Beach Invitational, held in Azusza, California and Long Beach, California, respectively. WSU also took part in the 2024 hosted by Minnesota State in Mankato on Saturday, April. 13.
Competing in the Bryan Clay Invite,
Hanna Reichenberger took part in both the 100-meter hurdles and the triple jump. The junior from Combined Locks, Wis. collected a time of 14.78 in the 100m hurdles and turned in an impressive effort in the triple jump, where she had an 11.74 (38' 6.25") effort. Running in the 400-meter hurdles at the Bryan Clay Invite, Warrior teammate
Regan Feit recorded a time of 1:03.79.
Jenna Anders ran a time of 2:19.27 in the 800 meters at the Bryan Clay Invitational while
Kaylee Olson turned in a long-jump mark of 5.51m (18'1"),
Taking part of the Beach Invitational in Long Beach, Calf.,
Lainey Lipschultz ran a time of 1:06.38 in the 400-meter hurdles.
Alyssa Larson also competed at the Beach Invite, turning in a time of 59.82 in the 400 meters.
On Saturday, competing in Mankato at the Minnesota State Open, WSU was led by
Rachel Hoffman who took third in the 5000 meter run with a time of 19:25.02.
McKenna Taylor also cracked the top five in an event, turning a mark of 5:03.57 in the women's 1500 meters.
Courtney Lukas added two seventh place finishes in the 100 meter and 200 meter races, with times of 12.66 and 25.98, respectively.
Next up for Winona State is the Phil Esten Challenge, set for Saturday, April 20 at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse.
