EMPORIA, Kan.- Winona State University was well-represented by
Kaylee Beyer and
Hanna Reichenberger at the 2024 NCAA Division II Track and Field Championships, hosted by Emporia State Univeristy on May 23-25.
On the opening day, Beyer opened the championships for WSU in the 1500-meter prelims where she qualified for the event's finals as an automatic qualifier, taking second place in the first heat with a time of 4:30.54.
On Friday, Reichenberger earned 15th place in the triple jump. After improving on each of her jumps, Reichenberger reached a distance of 12.18 meters on her last attempt to secure the 15th-place finish.
Beyer wrapped up the 2024 Championships with an impressive Saturday. Running in the 1500m and the 5000m finals less than three hours apart, Beyer capped off her historic season with two top-five finishes. In the 1500 meters, Beyer finished as the national runner-up with a time of 4:20.04. Back on the track for the 5000 meters shortly later, Beyer secured fourth place with a time of 16:48.42
The 2024 NCAA Division II Track and Field Championships concludes the outstanding season for Winona State.
