WINONA, Minn. - Winona State University soccer looks to conquer another home NSIC weekend against MSU Moorhead and Northern State University.
The Warriors sets out to battle and conquer another weekend filling with two NSIC match ups against the MSUM Dragons and the NSU Wolves after a hard fought weekend against Augustana and Concordia-St. Paul. WSU looks to take on MSUM on Friday, September 27 at 5 p.m. and rounding out the weekend with a game against NSU on Sunday, September 29 at 1 p.m.
Winona State Notes:
- Abigail Williams leads the Warriors in goals (2) and shots (5).
- Jacey Sturek leads the team in assists (2).
- Chloe Turner leads the team with shots on goal (4).
- Williams has the only game winning goal for the Warriors.
- The Warriors are 10-1-1 against MSU Moorhead going back to October 2011.
- WSU is also 10-4-1 against Northern State going back to October 2008.
MSU Moorhead Notes:
- Madalynn Hopkins leads the Dragons with one goal.
- Hopkins leads the Dragons in shots (6).
- Both Hopkins and Becca Cook lead the team with shots on goal (3).
- Quinn Carter has collected 39 saves in goal for MSUM.
- Rylee Truslow has collected 12 saves in goal as well for MSUM.
Northern State Notes:
- Megan Fastenau and Lauren Youngquist both have collected two goals for NSU.
- Both Sophie Taylor and Eva Larson have collected two assists a piece for the Wolves.
