WSU PREPARES FOR RANKED WEEKEND MATCHUPS AGAINST MSU AND SCSU

WINONA, Minn – The Winona State women's volleyball team is set to travel #25 Minnesota State, Mankato on Thursday, October 16th and host #11 St. Cloud State on Saturday, October 18th.

The Warriors will look to bounce back after a winless road trip weekend last week. With match ups against the #25 Minnesota State Mavericks on Thursday, October 16th at 6:00pm and will follow up against the #11 St. Cloud State Huskies on Saturday, October 18th at 1:00pm.

WSU is excited to announce all ticketing will be fully digital this year. All fans are encouraged to purchase tickets online before arriving at the venue. Cash will not be accepted at the gate.

Winona State Notes:
  • Head Coach Kristine Pelky has started her inaugural season strong with a 5-4 record in the NSIC and 10-7 overall.
  • Winona State leads the NSIC in total blocks (146) and blocks/set with 2.28.
  • Kenna Kornely is third in the NSIC in Kills with an average of 3.98/set and holds the most Kills in the NSIC with 247.
  • Ashlyn Steding leads WSU with 366 assists and an average of 5.72 assists/set.
  • Gianna Vollrath leads the NSIC in both total blocks (76) and an average of 1.19 blocks/set.
  • Anna Hennessy leads the Warriors in total digs with 260 and an average of 4.06 digs/set.
  • Ellie Bruns is top three in the NSIC for service aces with 15 this season.

  • Head Coach Cory Phelps looks to continue his success this season after a 7-2 record in conference.

  • Senior, Emily Kern is third in the NSIC for blocks with 1.11 blocks/set.

  • St. Cloud State is ranked #11 in the AVCA polls this week.
  • Head Coach Chad Braegelmann has had success all season beginning 8-1 in conference play.
  • SCSU is number one in the NSIC for average kills per set with 14.95.
