MANKATO, Minn. – The Warriors lose 2-0 on the road against #2 Minnesota State.
The Warriors allowed two goals in the first 30 minutes of the game and were unable to find an answer offensively, moving to 5-4-3 and 4-4-2 in NSIC play.
How it Happened:
Minnesota State found the back of the net at the 21st minute-mark and then again at the 26th minute-mark. The Warriors had no response through the first half. Winona State applied pressure in the opening frame and had two corner kicks but were unable to find the back of the net.
Winona State matched Minnesota States 7 shots in the second half. The Warriors applied pressure down the stretch, but the Maverick defense held strong and limited WSU's scoring opportunities.
