WINONA, Minn. – A dominant Warrior offense struck early and often in the first half to deliver a 3-0 victory over the SMSU Mustangs.
The Warrior offense started on the attack with an early goal at the 3-minute mark and continued to add on all first half. The Warrior defense kept the Mustangs corralled all game as they had no response to those goals. Today's victory pushed the Warriors to 6-5-4 on the year and 5-5-3 in NSIC play.
How it Happened:
The Warrior offense struck first with a goal from
Sarah Strating assisted by
Kyleigh Jannisch at the 3:44 mark. The offense shortly found the back of the net again when Madison Watts delivered a goal in the 14th minute of the match.
Jacey Sturek tacked on another goal assisted by
Julia Kunz in the 43rd minute of the match.
The Warrior offense showed no let up as they continued to keep the ball on the Mustang's half of the pitch all game. The Warrior defense held allowing
Abigail Rounds to leave the match with another clean slate.
