WINONA STATE WOMEN’S BASKETBALL TO OPEN SEASON IN NSIC-GAC CHALLENGE

WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State University women's basketball team is set to host the NSIC/GAC Challenge. The Challenge will be hosted by Winona State and will have both Southeastern Oklahoma State and Northwestern Oklahoma State from the Great American Conference (GAC). Minnesota Duluth will be the second NSIC team competing in the challenge.

Winona State will play on Friday, November 14th at 7:30pm against Southeastern Oklahoma State and will finish the weekend on Saturday, November 15th at 6:00pm against Northwestern Oklahoma State. Other matches that will occur during the NSIC/GAC Crossover are Northwestern Oklahoma versus Minnesota Duluth on Friday, November 14th at 5:30. Lastly, Minnesota Duluth will face off against Southeastern Oklahoma State on November 15th at 4:00pm.

WSU is excited to announce all ticketing will be fully digital this year. All fans are encouraged to purchase tickets online before arriving at the venue. Cash will not be accepted at the gate.

Winona State Notes: Southeastern Oklahoma State Notes:
  • Last season, Southeastern Oklahoma State finished 20-11 overall and 15-7 in the GAC
  • Kenzli Warden led the team in points per game last season with an average of 14.2.
  • Kaydrin Scott led the team in free throw percentage with 88.2% from the line.
  • Stevie Stinchcomb led the team in steals last season with 47 total.
Northwestern Oklahoma State:
  • Last season, Northwestern Oklahoma State finished 15-15 overall and 11-11 in the GAC.
  • Kennedy Hight led the team in points per game last season with an average of 11.4.
  • Kira Bass led the team in total blocks last season securing 26 total.
  • Jayda Shipp led the team in field goal percentage shooting a lights out 51.2% from the field.
